Ingredients:
- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the turkey dry and season generously with salt and pepper inside and out.
- Mix softened butter, chopped rosemary, thyme, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Rub the herb butter under the turkey’s skin and on top.
- Roast the turkey for 2.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- In the last 30 minutes, brush the turkey with maple syrup glaze.
- Roast until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Rest for 20 minutes before carving.
